Why it all started

In March 2021, during the pandemic and with increasing numbers of people being sheltered in place, Cecilia began an online group through Facebook and Next Door to connect with other neighbors and parents in her community and offer virtual Zumba classes. This community initiative led to a number of people joining, participating in the classes and connecting at a deeper level. While the physical space changed over the years, this community continues to expand and connect offline.

Given how meaningful and impactful this community initiative was, Cecilia made it her mission to continue delivering high quality Zumba classes with the aim at fostering increased well being and a sense of community locally and in neighboring cities. What began as Zumba classes developed into wellness programming that is now offered in different locations to diverse groups of adults seeking to engage in physical activity, connect with others and increase their overall wellbeing.

Dancing into Wellness is a holistic wellness program designed as an alternative to traditional therapies, emphasizing accessibility and community connection. It offers a dynamic blend of physical exercise and psycho education. Classes are structured to encourage active participation, fostering meaningful discussions on various aspects of wellbeing and personal wellness journeys. This approach not only promotes physical fitness but also creates a supportive environment where participants can engage and grow together.

How is it different from other wellness programs?
